Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Business Online AS collects and uses personal data.

Business Online AS, represented by the Managing Director, is responsible for the processing of personal data within the company. Where the daily responsibility is delegated, this is specified under each section. The delegation only covers the tasks and not the responsibility. This policy contains the information you are entitled to when data is collected from our website (Personal Data Act § 19) and general information about how we process personal data (Personal Data Act § 18, first paragraph).

Processing of Personal Data on www.business-online.no

The company itself has daily responsibility for processing personal data on www.business-online.no, unless stated otherwise. Providing personal data when using services—for example, to receive newsletters—is voluntary for visitors to the website. The basis for processing is the individual’s consent unless otherwise specified.

Business Online AS develops, processes data, and maintains this website.

Data collected in connection with the operation of the website is stored on servers operated by Microsoft Azure. Only Business Online AS has access to the collected data. A separate data processing agreement between Microsoft and Business Online AS regulates which information the provider has access to and how it should be processed.

Website Analytics

Business Online AS collects anonymized data about visitors to www.business-online.no. The purpose of this is to compile statistics that are used to improve and further develop the information provided on the website. Examples of what the statistics reveal include how many people visit different pages, the duration of visits, the referring websites, and which browsers are used.

The information is processed in an anonymized and aggregated form. By “anonymized” we mean that we cannot trace the collected data back to any individual user. We collect the full IP address, but it is anonymized so that only the first three segments are used to generate statistics. For example, if the IP address is 195.159.103.82, only 195.159.103.xx is used. In addition, IP addresses are processed on an aggregated level, meaning that all data is grouped together rather than processed individually.

We use the analytics tools Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Google Tag Manager on our website. The information from these tools is not disclosed by Business Online AS to any other parties.

The data collected by Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager is stored on Google’s servers in the USA. The information received is subject to Google’s privacy policies..

Business Online AS has an active presence on several social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn. Facebook Pixel is a script that enhances the interaction between Facebook and www.business-online.no by measuring traffic across Facebook’s interface and our website. LinkedIn Pixel follows the same principle as Facebook Pixel. We use the data collected by these pixels to deliver customized content to visitors of our website and for marketing on Facebook. The information received is subject to Facebook’s and and LinkedIn’s privacy policies..
